One More Buckley Post!

Important Upcoming Dates

* Don't forget about our meeting on August 9th from 11:30 - 12:30. The meeting will be at the middle school. It is very important that you try and come to this meeting. If you do not have a ride, try and car pool with someone that does. We will be organizing and signing up for times to work various back-to-school events.

* Below are the dates and times that we will need to work. Think about which ones will work for you and your family. I believe you will need to sign up for two.

- August 18: Open Building days. We will need about 16 members per shift.
Shifts: 8 AM - 10 AM
10 AM - 12 PM
3 PM - 5 PM
5 PM - 7 PM

- August 22: Back to School Night. We will need members doing various tasks. The time is 4:30 - 6:30. You will need to arrive at 4:00.

- August 24: First Day of School!!!! Mrs. Pavich would like some help before school and after school. Your job would be to help students get to where they need to go. An example would be helping direct students to the gym, cafe, or LGI room when they get to school. After school, you would help with busing. Only sign up for the after school shift if you have someone that can pick you up. Same with the morning shift. You will have to be here by 7:00 AM.

Talk to your parents and see what might work best for you.

Buckley 5-Miler

For those of you that are volunteering to help with the Buckley 5-Miler, here is some old and new information:

* Be there by 6:15 AM.
* Where your polo or an NJHS t-shirt.
* When you get there, please see Adam Hudak or Coleen. If you don't know who those people are, go to the registration/check-in desk and ask.
* You should be done about 9:30.
* Don't forget to bring your form and have Coleen or Adam sign it.
* BE ON YOU BEST BEHAVIOR. You are representing LMS and our organization.
* Have fun!!!

Candle Pick-Up

There will be another candle pick-up on Tuesday, June 28th, from 5 PM - 7 PM. Please come to the front of the school and I will be in the community room.

Candles are Here!!!!!

Candles were delivered today (without notice) and everything is organized and ready to go. Pick-up will be Monday from 6 PM - 8 PM at the Middle School in the community room. Please come to the front entrance of the building, the back will be locked. If you can not make it on this day, I will bring the candles to the July 12th meeting or email me and we can work out a time for delivery.

June 14th Meeting

If you missed today's meeting, please see Miss Reiling before you leave for the summer. You need a copy of the agenda and a calendar. Also, if you missed, please bring in a note for your file.

Reminders:

The July 12th meeting is at the high school. The meeting is from 11:30 - 12:30 in the little theater. Please use the main back entrance when you arrive.

The August 16th meeting has been moved to the 9th. This will allow us to prepare better if we are helping with orientation before school starts. The meeting will be at the middle school from 11:30 - 12:30.

Candle orders were placed, but I have not received a date for delivery. As soon as I am told when they will be here, I will post the pick-up date. It will most likely be in the evening. If a teacher ordered a candle from a student, I will be placing the candle in the teacher's mailbox and notifying them that it is here if they would like to come pick it up. Thank you to parents and members for selling your hearts out!!!!

The polos also arrived today. I will be organizing everyone's orders and if I finish before the day is done, students will receive their orders tomorrow. If not, everything will be passed out at the July 12th meeting. If students do not want to carry their stuff home, I can hold on to it until the 12th.

We also took a vote for our officer placements. The positions have been filled by the following members:

Secretary - Randi Voorhies
Vice-President - Amy Bales
President - Brandon Cory
